Tata Wants to Grow Starbucks to 1000 stores in India Despite $36 Million Loss

Interestingly, Tata Consumer Products (TCPL) is excited to expand the Starbucks brand in India from 457 stores to 1000 by 2027-28, despite losses of $36 Million. You would think the group would be cash flow positive by now with over 400 stores in operation. Starbucks is fortunate to have a partner who continues to lose money when building this brand. I would be more prudent given what is happening around the rest of Asia.
